Beyonce has decided to postpone her Formation tour concert stop in Nashville, Tenn., but has yet to reveal the reason for the postponement.

Beyonce Postpones Concert

Beyonce was scheduled to perform in Nashville on May 5. However, it was revealed on Sunday that the singer would be delaying her tour stop in the city.

“Following Wednesday’s sold out opening night Formation World Tour concert in Miami, promoters Live Nation announced that the Nashville concert previously scheduled for Thursday, May 5th will be rescheduled,” a rep for Beyonce told E! News. “Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event. … Live Nation apologizes for any inconvenience.”

Monica Clayton Fawknotson, the executive director for the Metro Sports Authority – landlord at the Nissan Stadium venue in Nashville – is unsure why Beyonce pulled the plug on the May 5 concert. While there’s been some speculation that ongoing construction at the Nissan Stadium is to blame, Fawknotson says that’s not the case.

“We don’t have any more details on why it was postponed,” Fawknotson told The Tennessean. “The stadium was ready. It was ready for Beyonce and her fans. We don’t know and we’ve not been told any details.”

Those who purchased tickets for the scheduled Nashville show will be able to use the tickets at the rescheduled tour date in the city, which has yet to be announced.

Beyonce’s Lemonade debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it her sixth no. 1 album.
