Beyoncé Announces She Is Pregnant With Twins

Beyoncé announced today that she is pregnant with twins.

The singer accompanied the announcement with a fierce photo of herself in a veil in front of a huge floral wreath, holding her pregnant belly. She and husband Jay Z already share a 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, who will now be a big sister to two siblings.

“We would like to share our love and happiness,” Beyoncé wrote on Instagram. “We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.” She signed the post, “The Carters.”

The singer’s mom, Tina Knowles, also celebrated on Instagram. “WOW! don’t have to keep the secret anymore?” she began. “I am soooo happy. God is good. Twin blessings.”

The original post has already received 2.5 million likes on the social media service, and that is only after one hour since its posting.

The couple’s first child Blue Ivy was born Jan. 7, 2012. Last summer Beyoncé told an interviewer that she “would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister [to Solange].” Lucky for the again mother-to-be and her daughter, that wish is coming true twofold.
