At 88, Betty White is enjoying a second career that most stars are lucky to have only once. So it's only fitting that the comedian was awarded Entertainer of the Year honors by the Associated Press.
After a Facebook campaign urging Lorne Michaels to have White host an episode of Saturday Night Live, White hosted a special Mother's Day episode. She brought in 12.1 million viewers, one of SNL's largest audience in years, and won her seventh Emmy for her appearance.
"It's ridiculous," White said to AP of the honor. "They haven't caught on to me, and I hope they never do."
White also appeared on episodes of Community and The Middle, launched her own sitcom with Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, Hot in Cleveland, starred in You Again with Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis, and will publish two books next year: If You Ask Me (And of Course You Won't) and a book of photographs of animals from the Los Angeles Zoo. —ISHITA SINGH
