Bethenny Frankel Announces Return To 'Real Housewives Of New York City'

Bethenny Frankel has officially announced her return to Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York City for season seven.

Bethenny Frankel Confirms Return To RHONY

Frankel, who recently denied she was returning to the reality series that launched her career, announced the news in a blog entry on her official website.

“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on The Real Housewives of New York City. I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again,” Frankel wrote.

Frankel also released a statement, saying she was “excited” and “slightly nervous” about her return to the show. The original RHONY cast member teased the upcoming season, saying, “Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!

Bravo President Andy Cohen also released a statement welcoming Frankel back to the Real Housewives fold, saying, “Bethenny is one of the most popular Housewives in the history of the franchise, and I couldn’t be more excited she is coming home to Bravo.”

Real Housewives Welcome Bethenny Back

Frankel’s return to the series was not the only big announcement made by Bravo on Monday. The network also announced season seven’s cast line-up. In addition to Frankel, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer are all set to return for the new season.

Morgan said she is excited to have Frankel on board for the new season, telling Star, “I emailed Bethenny when I saw that Andy Cohen was having discussions with her about coming back because I was very excited at the notion for obvious reasons. She has star power, charisma, a great sense of humor and she doesn’t take herself too seriously.”

Morgan added that, as a fellow single mom, she respects Frankel and all that she has accomplished.

“I love the fact that she gets me. She understands what it’s like to be a divorced mom and she knows what it means to work hard for your money. Nothing has ever been handed to Bethenny,” Morgan said.
