Bernie Sanders To Appear On ‘Saturday Night Live’ With Larry David
This week on Saturday Night Live, host Larry David will be joined by Bernie Sanders. The Seinfeld star has spent all season showing off his uncanny impression of Sander’s distinctive Brooklyn accent, and now he’ll be doing it alongside the Presidential candidate himself.
The show is typically pretty secretive about their special guests, but word of the leak has been confirmed at the highest levels. “We’ll be live in New York,” said Sanders’ senior adviser, Tad Devine, to CNN.
Sanders’ opponent Hilary Clinton appeared on SNL earlier in the year opposite her own impersonator, Kate McKinnon. Donald Trump hosted SNL back in November, which had a viewership of greater than 9.3, the largest since 2013 when Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon were featured.
Sanders has historically responded to David’s impersonations positively saying, “He does it better than I do.”
A former writer for SNL, David is also the creator of Seinfeld as well as HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
See the promo and catch Bernie Sanders on NBC this Saturday at 11:30 ET.
