HBO’s Game of Thrones has millions of fervent fans eager to learn what will happen to their favorite characters. Filming for the show’s eighth and final season began on October 23, although it’s currently unknown when these last six episodes will air on television. However, actor Ben Crompton, who portrays Edd Tollett, might have given a tidbit regarding his character’s fate.

BEN CROMPTON DISCUSSES GAME OF THRONES’ FINALE

In a discussion with Metro, Crompton mentioned how they’re still filming the show’s upcoming season. Crompton notes how although “there’s only six episodes, there’s a lot to shoot because it’s the last one.” Moreover, they’re “going out with a bang.”

Crompton, however, could not attest to his character’s involvement in the finale, though he did express shock at how long Edd has survived so long “in a show where characters get killed off so regularly.” Edd is, in Crompton’s opinion, undergoing some “penance,” adding how his character is heavily burdened with his life.

With regards to how fans will enjoy the forthcoming episodes, Crompton believes people generally be pleased with them. Of course, it is impossible to please everyone, but Crompton would “be surprised if people are disappointed because there’s a lot of effort and love” put into their work. If nothing else, he believes Game of Thrones will provide a satisfying conclusion, and he hopes people will agree.
