Ben Affleck Reportedly Back In Rehab For Alcohol Addiction After Ex-Wife Jennifer Garner Stages Intervention

Ben Affleck checked himself into rehab again this week for alcohol addiction, and it reportedly comes after his estranged wife Jennifer Garner staged an intervention.

This is Affleck’s third time entering rehab, according to People magazine. Garner reportedly visited the 46-year-old Oscar-winning actor and director — with whom she shares three children — at his home in Brentwood, California, this week. Affleck previously went through treatment for his addiction last year. The actor most recently played Batman in 2017’s critical flop Justice League.

Affleck and Garner separated in 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Just months after they split, rumors started circulating that Affleck had cheated on Garner with their nanny. The actor has since reportedly dated Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus and was most recently linked to 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton, as the pair have been spotted together several times.

According to the Boston Globe, paparazzi took photos this week of a package that was delivered to Affleck’s home, and that bottles of alcohol appeared to be inside the package.

Garner — who was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — is next set to star in the crime thriller Peppermint, which is due for release on Sept. 7.
