Ben Affleck & Matt Damon Attend ‘Project Greenlight’ Premiere

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon walked the red carpet for the premiere of the fourth season of Project Greenlight in Los Angeles Monday night.

Affleck and Damon, who first collaborated together on the Academy Award-winning Good Will Hunting, posed together at the Project Greenlight premiere. Affleck suited up for the occasion, while Damon kept things more casual in jeans and a leather jacket. Though the longtime pals were photographed on the red carpet together, Affleck chose to let Damon answer all of the reporters’ questions by himself.

One of the questions Damon had to field was about how Affleck was doing post divorce announcement. “He’s great, he’s great,” Damon said. “He’s got a big smile on his face.”

Damon also weighed in on Affleck’s upcoming birthday. “Yeah, I wish him well, but he’s forty-three, it’s kind of like, meh,” joked Damon. “What is forty-three? It’s not forty, it’s not forty-five, it’s forty-three. It’s a forgettable birthday.”

Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who are parents to Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, announced their decision to end their marriage back in June.

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.”

Affleck will make his debut as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, while Damon will next be seen on the big screen this coming October in sci-fi flick The Martian.
