Ben Affleck Eager To Play Dad

After starring in the upcoming drama, The Company Men, and wrapping on a new movie with Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams, Ben Affleck is ready for one more role: dad.

The actor is eager to settle in to play house with wife Jennifer Garner and daughters Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2. "My wife's going to a movie and then it's going to be just pure Mr. Mom time!" he told Us Magazine.

Affleck is also going to get a head start on his Christmas shopping, after admitting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he often buys Garner's gifts "at, like, CVS on the 24th." He told Us that his wife is the better gift-giver of the couple. "Basically, my wife is very in-depth with all this stuff, really sharp, very thoughtful, very thorough. And so for me, I get kind of panicked; I put things off and I just don't know what to get so just buying her a present — I put more work into that than she does into buying fifteen!"

The Company Men, also starring Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones and Chris Cooper, opens in theaters December 10. —ISHITA SINGH
