Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted smiling together while exiting a counseling center in Santa Monica, sparking rumors that the two could be headed towards a reconciliation.
Estranged spouses Affleck and Garner looked happy to be in one another’s company Thursday. Walking into the parking lot of the counseling center, both actors sported broad smiles. The couple, who announced their plans to divorce earlier this summer, left together in Affleck’s new black muscle car.
This is the first time Affleck and Garner have gone to the family counseling center in L.A. since they confirmed their split in June, according to People magazine. Up until a couple of months prior to the announcement, the couple had attended weekly sessions there.
The new pictures of the two have caused some to believe that there might be hope that Affleck and Garner are going to call off their divorce plans. However, some insiders say there’s no possibility of a reconciliation.
“The damage is already done,” a source told TMZ. “They’re leading separate lives.”
Whether or not Affleck and Garner can salvage their marriage, they are committing themselves to maintaining a working and amicable relationship with each other for the sake of their three children – Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.
“We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children,” the couple had said in their joint statement.
