Donna D’Errico turns 55 on March 30, but she’s getting the party started a bit early this year.

On Thursday, March 9, the model posted a photo of herself in pink lingerie in honor of National Barbie Day. She wrote in the caption, “It’s National Barbie Day. It’s also still National Donna D’Errico Birthday Month. Here’s me honoring both today sitting in Barbie pink letting you know I’ll be posting some cake on my birthday.”

She received numerous compliments and birthday wishes. One user wrote: “We should lobby Congress to make your birthday month recognized officially.”

This comes after D’Errico posted a photo of herself in a red, white and blue bikini for last year’s July 4 holiday. Several users commented on her Instagram, saying that she was “too old” to be posting bikini pictures. Others said she was “classier than that” or “desperate.”

She hit back, writing that she is free to do and post whatever she wants. The actress then posted a photo of herself in a bikini squatting on a coffee table.

D’Errico rose to prominence in 1996 on the television show Baywatch. She played “Donna Marco” in the series until 1998.

After leaving Baywatch, she appeared in several independent films such as Intervention and The Making of Plus One.
