Barry Manilow canceled Thursday and Friday shows in Kentucky and Tennessee hours before he was scheduled to perform. Manilow had been rushed back to Los Angeles because of complications from emergency oral surgery he underwent on Monday.

“Following a triumphant sold-out concert in Memphis, Barry Manilow was rushed back to Los Angeles due to complications from emergency oral surgery that Manilow had on Monday,” said a press release.

“He’s perfectly healthy,” explained his publicist Victoria Varela to CNN. “He is not the hospital. Other than the dental issue, he is doing great. He still does not know if he can attend the Grammys.”

A Facebook announcement last Thursday also assured ticket holders that the concerts will be rescheduled, so ticket holders should hold their tickets until then.
