Barbra Streisand is mourning the loss of her beloved dog, Sammie.

She posted the final picture of herself holding Sammie on her Instagram account. The shot was taken on Mother’s Day, May 14.

The fluffy white Coton de Tulear dog died at 14 years old. Streisand wrote on Instagram, “we cherish every moment of the 14 years we had with her.”

Six days ago, Streisand posted a birthday snap with the caption, “Happy 14th birthday, dear little Sammie.”

The star often took pictures with her dog on social media. The fluffy pet’s health declined in recent months, and Sammie had to undergo surgery. Streisand’s fans are sharing their condolences on Instagram, and her post received more than 30,000 likes.
