Barbra Streisand Gives Disney Stock To George Floyd’s Daughter, Gianna Floyd

Singer Barbra Streisand has given George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter Gianna Floyd a Disney stock along with two of her albums.

Gianna posted a photo of herself and the gift on her Instagram thanking Streisand. She said, “Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you.”

The two albums that Gianna received were Color Me Barbra and My Name Is Barbra .

Streisand did not post about the gift on her own social media, but she has been very active in speaking out on the Black Lives Matter Movement and attending protests in the wake of Gianna’s father’s death. George was a black man who was killed in police custody by an officer kneeling on his neck. Protests have been occurring across the country in the hopes to bring both social and political change.

On June 3, Streisand posted a video of Gianna exclaiming that her father had changed the world. Streisand wrote, “That’s right GiGi “Daddy changed the world” 😢😢😢😢😢 George Floyd the name of change. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #ivehadenough Love to all who have love for all ✊🏿✊🏻✊🏾✊🏼✊🏽✊”

On June 1, Streisand posted a video of a peaceful protest on Instagram. The caption said, “A beautiful moment of silence for George Floyd in Minneapolis yesterday. There’s such power in solidarity – and it can all be done non-violently. What happened to George is a modern-day lynching.”

She posted another video of peaceful protests on June 3 where a police officer is shown helping protestors. She said, “We need more of this. ❤️ ・・・

A video of a Shreveport police officer consoling a crying protester during a #BlackLivesMatter demonstration has gone viral as protests against racism and police brutality take place nationwide.”
