Barbara Walters' Final Week On 'The View' To Feature All 11 Co-Hosts

The View will include all of the 11 co-hosts Barbara Walters has worked with over the years on the program during her farewell week on the daytime talk show.

All 11 Co-Hosts Returning For Barbara Walter's Last Week

Walters, who co-created The View, is the only original member of the panel still on the show. Past hosts include originals Debbie Matenopoulos (1997-1998), Meredith Viera (1997-2006), Star Jones (1997-2006), and Joy Behar (1997-2013). Lisa Ling hosted from 1999-2002, Elizabeth Hasselbeck from 2003-2013 and Rosie O’Donnell from 2006-2007.

Current hosts, in addition to Walters, include Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy.

Walters announced her plans to retire from The View in May of last year. In her announcement, Walter reassured fans of the show that she’d be staying on as a co-producer.

Walters, who’s been in TV journalism since the 1960s, is confident that now is the time to walk away from her day job. “It feels right for me. I love this show. I love what we’ve done,” she said earlier this month. “It will continue without me. But I also know that it’s time. I don’t want people to say, ‘Is she still here?’”

Walter's last day on The View will be Friday, May 16.
