Emily Maynard, who appeared on The Bachelor before starring on spinoff The Bachelorette, married Tyler Johnson in a surprise wedding over the weekend.
Maynard, 28, wedded Johnson at his family’s North Carolina farm. For the elegant-meets-rustic affair, the TV personality wore a strapless white gown with pink detailing and a satin sash paired with cowboy boots. She wore her hair half up with loose curls. Johnson wore a dark suit with a dress shirt and decided to forgo a tie.
The nuptials came as a surprise to many of the newlyweds close friends and family members. Maynard and Johnson, who became engaged in January after meeting in church, had invited the 200 guests to what they thought was an engagement party.
Maynard's father walked her down the aisle. Her made of honor was her 8-year-old daughter Ricki, who danced with her new stepdad during the reception, which had music provided by a country band.
The wedding was "just a very special, very fun night filled with love,” a source told E! News.
