Episode 5 of The Bachelor this season brings us to Florida for some dates and some drama.

THE BACHELOR RECAP

Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. invites Chelsea on a getaway yacht ride for the first one-on-one date of the week. Arie decides to ramp things up because he doesn’t “want to waste her time.” Over dinner, he asks a lot of questions, including about her past relationship that resulted in a child. Chelsea explains that she met an older man when she was 20 and he tried to change her into who he wanted her to be. Seven years and one baby later, the man left Chelsea for another woman.

“I was left with, literally, all my belongings in trash bags,” she shared. “I probably have the least that I’ve ever had, but I feel like I have everything.” Arie gives her the rose and the pair go out to a private concert.

Next we have a bowling group date. Maquel, Krystal, Bekah M., Becca K., Jenna, Seinne, Kendall, Ashley, Marikh, Jacqueline and Lauren B. head to their date, and the winners go to the hotel after-party. Krystal’s team wins and she declares this the best day ever. But shortly after, Arie invites the losing team up to the party as well, and Krystal starts a hissy fit. “Like, why’d you change your mind? I’m not gonna sit there and fight for his attention,” she says.

Krystal really can’t get over the fact that all eleven girls will be at the after-party, and freaks out the whole bus ride over and continues at the hotel. Then she comes out in her bath rode and declares that she will not be participating in the after-party because Arie was “disrespectful” to the winning team.

When Arie shows up, the other ladies inform him of the situation and he heads up to find Krystal in her room. First he chides her for talking badly about him behind his back, and then for her arrogant behavior. He disinvites her to the after-party and says, “I’ll see you in a few days.” Back upstairs, Arie makes out with a lot of the women before Krystal shows up to ruin the fun. The other women, though, tell her what’s what, and Krystal retreats back to her room.

At the end of the night, Lauren B. gets the date rose after the pair play a fun game of “21 Questions.” The next day, Tia gets her first one-on-one date and the pair enjoy a boat tour of the Everglades. They end up at a cute house on stilts and eat up on some fried frog legs. The two engage in some simple but comfortable conversation before heading to dinner. They talk about their careers, their futures, and her past relationships, and Tia ends up telling Arie that she thinks she’s “falling in love” with him. This earns her a kiss and a date rose.

At the final cocktail party the next day, Krystal talks about her ridiculous behavior, but with a twist, saying she was only “investing in myself” when she refused to come to the party. “I feel like no regrets,” she tells the other women. When she gets Arie alone, she tells him that the bowling alley brought back bad memories because her mom worked in a bowling alley throughout her childhood. And she explained away her being upset about allowing the losing team to come to the party because it reminded her of deadbeat guys who made broken promises to her mom.

Arie keeps his cool though, and tells Krystal that her actions were really unattractive. “This is our first fight,” she playfully says, to which Arie responds, “it could be out last fight.” Despite all of Arie’s talk, he still gives Krystal a rose at the end, along with Bekah M., Seinne, Kendall, Becca K., Jacqueline and Jenna. So Ashley, Marikh and Maquel are headed home.
