After last week’s hometown dates, The Bachelor is down to just three finalists vying for Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s heart.

Kendall, Becca and Lauren all fly to Peru, where Arie hopes to get to know them all “on a whole new level.” First up for a date is Kendall, who is getting very nervous about the idea of Arie proposing to her at the end of the show. “If Arie proposed to me today, I’d probably say no,” she admits.

They meet in a desert with a dune buggy, which the bachelor compares to a relationship – “there’s ups and downs and it’s scary, but also so exciting.” They end up having a really fun date and the chemistry actually seems to be there. After the ride, the couple headed to the Fantasy Suite, where Kendall’s nerves hit a new high. She worries that Arie thinks of her more as a “novelty” and less as wife material.

In the morning, however, Kendall declares that she doesn’t “feel as afraid anymore” and Arie tells her that he’s “definitely” falling in love with her. But then of course he has to leave for his next date.

He meets Lauren for a flight in a prop plane over the famed Nazca Lines, and both are amazed by the beauty. Lauren, however, is busy worrying about their relationship and the fact that there are two other women that Arie is seeing. “Just know that I’m crazy about you,” he tells her. “And I see a potential in you being my wife.” But Lauren counters with, “I need to feel like I’m the only girl that you see.”

Arie admits that that “hurts” him because he doesn’t want to have to reassure Lauren all the time. At dinner, however, he tells her that he is confident about their relationship because he loves her. At first, Lauren’s reaction is understated, but then she is able to reciprocate. “I was just so happy to hear that,” she says. “I just want you to know that I love you too. So let’s go.” And they head to the Fantasy Suite.

“We’re in a good place,” Lauren says the next morning. “My concerns about everything I was worried about yesterday have subsided.” She all but declares victory, which will most likely be her downfall, should she be wrong.

Arie heads to his one-on-one with Becca where they have a “fun, chill date on a boat,” according to her. “I’m just so damn happy,” she adds. At dinner, Becca does something she never has before in a relationship, and tells Arie that she loves him before he says it. He immediately returns the sentiment. “THere’s a part of me that wants to end this now and propose here in the sand dunes,” he muses.

They also head to the Fantasy Suite (or Tent, as it is), and the next morning say “I love you” over and over to each other.

Cut to a major plot twist – Becca’s ex Ross bangs on the door and demands to speak with her. Apparently he’s just found out that Becca is on The Bachelor and decides to intervene. “That’s my proposal to give her,” he tells Arie. “She’s the love of my life. I want to marry her.”

Arie lets Becca talk to Ross and make her own decision, which is an easy “no” for her. Ross seems surprised and keeps trying to convince her, but Becca isn’t having it. Finally Ross leaves, saying “I wish you guys the best.”

It’s finally rose time! And Kendall, unsurprisingly, is the one to leave. “I don’t think we can get there,” Arie tells her. She understands: “It means a lot that you’ve been in my life. I love being around you,” she says.

Tune in next week to find out if it will be Lauren or Becca who receives a proposal from our Bachelor.
