‘Bachelor’ Contestant Sarah Trott Almost Collapses During Rose Ceremony With Matt James

Unplanned drama occurred on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor when one of the contestants nearly collapsed during the rose ceremony.

Sarah Trott, a 24 year old broadcast journalist from San Diego, California competing for Matt James’ heart was in need of medical assistance. Trott took a stumble on set during the rose ceremony and caught attention of James, who stopped the ceremony to see if she was ok.

“I’m, like, seeing stars,” Trott told him.

Bri Springs, another contestant pining of James’ heart, told producers that a medic was needed to come to set immediately. “She’s going to pass out,” Springs told producers.

The episode ended with a “To Be Continued” message, leaving fans wondering if Trott was ok.

“Sarah is legit having a full on panic attack. I hope she’ll be ok,” one user tweeted.

“NOOO IS SARAH OK?,” tweeted another.

Earlier in the episode, Trott was one of two ladies who received a rose from James before the rose ceremony, cementing that she’ll be around for another week. On their one on one date, Trott opened up to James about her father’s diagnosis with Lou Gehrig’s disease.

James is making history this season as the first black male lead in the show’s history. James sat down for an interview with People before the start of the season to discuss his goal of wanting to be a role model for the black community on the show.

“I’m hoping that being in this position paves the way for people like me to be in this and it be normalized,” he said. ” ‘Oh, Matt was a great Bachelor.’ It doesn’t have to be, ‘Oh, he was a great black Bachelor.”

“That’s something that kept me up at night. It’s like, I don’t want to piss off black people, I don’t want to piss off white people, but I’m both of those,” James added about being a child of interracial parents. “You know what I mean? It’s like, how do I please everybody?”
