Rapper B.o.B took to Twitter to explain the true shape of the Earth to his 2.31 million followers.
The rapper also used excerpts from what appears to be “Flat Earth” conspiracy text and a handful of diagrams and equations. He also touched on multiple photos that were taken with a “Go-Pro” lens and explained that the lens gave the illusion of a curve to the Earth.
Noted scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson responded to the rapper’s tweet about “the cities in the background are approx. 16 miles apart…where is the curve? please explain.”
The famous astrophysicist tweeted back the explanation: “Earth’s curve indeed blocks 150 (170ft) of Manhattan. But most buildings in midtown are waaay taller than that.”
B.o.B. also released a “Flat Earth” song on SoundCloud called “Flatline,” in which he compares himself to Malcolm X and disses Tyson: “Aye, Neil Tyson need to loosen up his vest/ They’ll probably write that man one hell of a check.”
