Azealia Banks Talks About Miscarriage, Insults Nicki Minaj, In Facebook Rant

Azealia Banks has never been shy about controversy, and finds herself in the middle of more after she posted a rant on Facebook that both revealed she recently had a miscarriage and also dissed Nicki Minaj.

“This wouldn’t be an Azealia Banks page without loads of oversharing right?” she wrote according to E!. “Anywho, I’ve just had a miscarriage and am pretty taken aback by it all.” She continued to tell how she felt “like a failure and very ashamed” and asked her followers for support. “Has anyone else had this same experience who cares to share some words of wisdom or words of anything regarding this topic?”

Most of these posts have since been deleted, along with a post about Minaj that went live on Tuesday morning. It was essentially a list of things Minaj should and should not do. “Slim down a bit (especially in your neck and arms),” it starts out. “Decrease the butt just a bit (I’ve seen your butt make some really expensive dresses look really cheap)… Stop calling yourself the queen of rap,” it starts out.

“I don’t understand why you are so impressed with yourself,” it continues after a longwinded rant. “In 2017 I hope you find some new inspiration and decrease your butt implants you would honestly look SOOOOO much better if they were just 150cc smaller.”

She finished off her note with, “Cheers to female rap!”

Banks later admitted to deleting the posts, and explained her actions as, “I am not the same person I was two hours ago. LOL”

Some think the rant was in response to Minaj’s new mobile game about an artist named Fan2Sea who wants to sound like how mermaids might if they were real. Banks’ 2012 mixtape was similarly called Fantasea. The connection would make sense, though the theory is unconfirmed.
