Azealia Banks has stirred controversy after a video emerged showing her flipping out on a flight attendant and calling him a homophobic slur.

Banks was disembarking from a New York to Los Angeles flight Monday night at around 1 a.m. when an altercation ensued. Apparently, Banks was blocked from exiting the aircraft by a French couple. Reports are conflicting about whether the man put his hands on the rapper or if he merely put his hand up for her to stop. After the initial confrontation, Banks began to spit on and attack the man, eyewitnesses told TMZ.

When a flight attendant grabbed Banks’ bag and tried to clam her down, she turned her ire towards him. After repeatedly screaming for her bag, she called him a “f–king f–got.”

Though Banks has avoided legal trouble since the French couple opted not to press charges, her use of the word “f–got” has given her some negative publicity. Unmoved by calls for an apology, Banks has instead justified her use of the word on Twitter.
