An autopsy report confirmed previous reports that Grammy-nominated songwriter Kyle Jacobs’ cause of death was a “self-inflicted shotgun wound,” and revealed that no drugs were in his system at the time of his death, on February 17 at the age of 49.
The report also revealed that Jacobs, who was found dead by his wife of 13 years, fellow singer-songwriter Kellie Pickler, and her assistant, had “a history of pseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use.”
