At 70, Kevin Costner Prefers Being Single Despite Rumors Of New Romance With Jennifer Lopez

Yellowstone star Kevin Costner finalized his divorce from his second wife, Christine Baumgartner, last February after 18 years of marriage. Having just turned 70, Costner says he hasn’t been looking for a new lover for his new decade.

Despite recent reports linking him to Jennifer Lopez, a source close to the actor told People that he is “in a good place and having fun with his family and friends.” However, in recent months, Costner has been linked to various female celebrities, including Sharon Stone, Jewel and January Jones.

Costner feels comfortable staying on the market without being tied down romantically. “He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now,” the insider said. “Kevin is cool, real, and in some ways old-school in his thinking. He has a lot of interests and loves being busy when he is in that mode.”

Costner has been spending much of his time with his children and dog recently.

Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner on May 1, 2023, listing her date of separation from the actor as April 11. Their acrimonious divorce required a judge’s order to force Baumgartner to leave Costner’s $140 million Santa Barbara, California home.

After leaving Yellowstone in a feud with the show’s creator, Costner directed and starred in the first part of his Western epic Horizon: An American Saga, which bombed at the box office. Part 2 of the film was pulled from release and will likely head straight to streaming.
