Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 Review
Asus quietly unveiled its latest premium Android tablet. The ZenPad 3 8.0 comes packed with premium features, including a 2K display.
This time around, Asus delivers a tablet that functions as a one-stop destination for mobile entertainment. The 7.9-inch 2K (2048 x 1536 resolution) IPS LED display with wide 178-degree viewing angles and dual front speakers delivers a cinematic viewing experience for users. All that means is that Z8’s display processor is the one found in a lot of high-end televisions. Asus has also used Tru2Life+ motion-estimation and motion-compensation algorithms to deliver a blur-free video watching experience and sharper images.
The 8-megapixel rear-facing camera utilizes pixel-merging technology to snap photos at are 400% brighter at night or in low-light environments without having to resort to using flash. There’s also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.
The Z8 combines innovation with a sleek modern design–something Asus is known for. Its 7.9-inch tablet features a brushed metallic finish and aluminum body and weighs a mere 320-grams. The leather-patterned rear cover transforms this tablet into a subtle fashion statement.
Z8 looks pretty sweet on the inside too. TabTimes reports “The main chip is a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, which packs in two high performance Cortex-A72 cores, four low power Cortex-A53s, and an Adreno 510 GPU.” Users can pair the device with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM and there’s a microSD card slot for extra storage space. The tablet’s 4650mAh battery lasts about 11 hours.
The ZenPad 3 8.0 tablet is a great choice for users looking to purchase a stylish premium tablet that packs a lot of power.
