Assassin’s Creed Origins, one of 2017’s biggest video game releases, launched back on October 27. Ubisoft has continued to work on the game, however, and a new update for the open world adventure is slated to arrive this month.
The biggest addition supplied by the forthcoming update would be “The Hidden Ones” DLC, which will add an additional region for the game’s protagonist, Bayek, to explore. Set a few years after the conclusion of the base game’s campaign, this new story will see our wayward hero combat the Romans. Additionally, Bayek’s level cap will be increased from 40 to 45, meaning he’ll be an even more capable death bringer. “The Hidden Ones” will be available through Origins‘ Season Pass.
Those without the Season Pass will still get to enjoy a few new bonuses, however. A new quest will manifest itself, players will soon be permitted to sell unwanted clothing items, and Heka chests will offer a richer pool of tools to procure, spanning items from the First Civilization, Gladiator, Nightmare and Wacky packs.
Moreover, the Trials of the Gods event will return, giving players another chance to challenge two of Egypt’s deities. Anubis will be prepared to brawl from January 9 to 16, and Sobek will likewise appear from January 23 to 30.
Finally, new items packs will soon become available through the in-game market or through the Ubisoft Club to spice up travers with new utilities. The Almighty pack will land on January 16, and the For Honor pack will grace Egypt on Janurary 30. The Ubisoft Club will also obtain the Warden’s Outfit on the 30th, and the Harlequin and Chop-Chop items will join it sometime by the end of the month.
