Ashton Kutcher, while talking about the forthcoming end of Two and a Half Men, was questioned about whether or not former star Charlie Sheen would be making an appearance.
Kutcher, who took over the leading role from Sheen a few seasons ago, appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show to talk about Two and a Half Men’s fast-approaching final episode. During the interview, DeGeneres asked Kutcher if they’d already wrapped up filming the season.
“No, we haven’t shot it, but I got pitched yesterday what the story is going to be,” Kutcher revealed to DeGeneres. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to talk about it. I’m scared. I’m a little terrified.” Kutcher then seemed to struggle to contain some big news, leading DeGeneres to press him about whether or not Sheen will be making an appearance in the episode that will wrap up the hit sitcom.
“I didn’t say anything,” Kutcher nervously responded through laughter. “Here’s the thing, if you’re working in the Warner Brothers lot and there’s sirens come save me.”
Earlier this year, Sheen admitted that he’d be more than willing to return to the sitcom should producers ask him to make an appearance. “I would definitely do it, yeah, yeah,” he told Extra. “If they’ll still have me, I will be there. Yeah, I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans…I just think it makes sense.”
Two and a Half Men‘s final episode will air Thursday, Feb. 19 at 9/8c.
