Ashley Graham thinks that Amy Schumer was a bit hypocritical in taking Glamour to task for implying that she is plus-size.

Ashley Graham On Amy Schumer

Back in April, Schumer slammed Glamour magazine for suggesting that she’s plus-sized. Schumer was featured in Glamour‘s special edition plus-size issue alongside actress Melissa McCarthy, singer Adele – and Graham. On Instagram, Schumer shared a picture of the cover, and wrote, “I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me.

Schumer added, “Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”

Graham believes that Schumer’s protests against her inclusion with the other women indicates that the comedian might be more wary of embracing her position as a curvier woman in Hollywood than she lets on.

“I can see both sides, but Amy talks about being a big girl in the industry. You thrive on being a big girl, but when you’re grouped in with us, you’re not happy about it? That, to me, felt like a double standard,” Graham said to Cosmopolitan.

Schumer had her fair share of critics immediately after she took issue with Glamour. She responded to them in a follow-up Instagram post, which read, “Thanks for your thoughts to the people who didn’t tell me how I ‘should feel’ Bottom line seems to be that these labels are unnecessary and reserved for women #muchlove.”
