Arsenal & Manchester United Fans Fight At Metlife Stadium – Earbiting Was Not Off Limits
Competition was high at the Metlife Stadium this week, as a fight between soccer fans broke out during a match between Arsenal and Manchester United.
It’s unknown what or who began the fight but videos circulating online show numerous people getting into physical altercations with one another.
One video shows what looks to be a Manchester United fan pummeling a man down as a third man grabs the punch-thrower from behind and tries to hold him back by biting his left ear. A fourth man joins in on the fight and begins punching the first man before he is pushed off to the side, starting a new fight with someone else. Though that may seem a lot, that was only the first 15 seconds of the nearly two-minute video.
A recording of the fight, shot from a farther angle shows the scuffle transpiring as onlookers watched it play out, suggesting the fight was more interesting than the game they paid for.
One social media user even said, “I watched it from above and everyone forgot about the actual game and watched that instead.”
Although it would make better sense if the fight was between Manchester United and Arsenal fans, comments on the posted videos suggest the fight was between avid Arsenal fans themselves.
Another significant event happened at the MetLife Stadium that night. The New Jersey stadium recorded an all-time high of attendees as the soccer match between the two English teams reportedly sold out, filling over 82,000 seats.
