Joseph Baena, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, is following in his father’s footsteps in acting and has landed a major role in the high-profile action film, Gunnar.

The young bodybuilder is set to appear alongside actors Morgan Freeman and Luke Hemsworth, in Dimitri Logothetis’s upcoming movie, which follows the story of a special forces veteran Lee Gunner, played by Hemsworth, whose camping trip with his two sons goes terribly wrong when they stumble upon a drug lab.

Baena took to social media on Thursday to confirm his part in the film by sharing a photo of himself to his Instagram Story, captioned “Deputy Wally reporting for duty.” The photo featured the actor in costume as a sheriff, sitting on a pool table.

Baena does sometimes seek acting advice from his father but is trying to make it in the industry on his own. The 25-year-old, who at the moment mainly works as a real estate agent, landed his first major gig last year in Chariot (2022), alongside Thomas Mann and John Malkovich.

Baena took to Instagram on Friday to share photos of his ripped body with his 400,000 followers, demonstrating how well-prepared he is for his upcoming role in Gunnar. Posting a trio of black and white images, the actor is seen posing outdoors wearing nothing but a pair of jeans and tying a white handkerchief around his head. Baena, looking just as fit as his Terminator dad, captioned the photo “Prepared for anything!”

Schwarzenegger shares Baena with Mildred Baena, whom he had an affair with while she was his housekeeper.
