Joseph Baena, the son of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his former housekeeper Mildred Baena, said that he feels no pressure to measure up to his father and is also selling real estate.

“It took a little bit for me to realize that I don’t have to do what my dad did,” Baena told Men’s Health. “I don’t have to get into acting or bodybuilding. I’m very motivated and driven. I’m happy about my relationship with my dad. But I’m more happy that I am finding joy in what I’m doing and that I’m doing exactly what I’ve always dreamed about.

“A lot of guys struggle with trying to make their dad proud or trying to get out of their dad’s shadow. But as long as you’re doing what you want to do, then that all comes. Of course, maybe those guys don’t have such nice dads.”

In the past several years, Baena has been recreating Schwarzenegger’s classic bodybuilding poses.

In late 2020, he posted a video on Instagram that showed him flexing his biceps and posing just as his father had done back in the day.

In August 2023, Baena posted two photos to social media and announced that he was ready for Hurricane Hilary. In the color and black-and-white versions, he stood on the Californian beach and posed as he looked outward at the horizon.

He wore black, bodybuilder-like trunks, his right arm was lifted and pointed out to the horizon, and his left arm curled to flex his biceps. The pose was made famous by his father.

According to the ARIA Properties website, Baena “stands out for his dedication to clients” within “the competitive Los Angeles real estate market.”

“Known for his love of bodybuilding and biking, Joseph applies the same discipline to excel in luxury real estate,” the website noted.

“Joseph didn’t just help us find a house; he found us a home. His dedication made all the difference,” one of Baena’s clients stated, as quoted by the website.
