Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s son, Patrick, took to Instagram on April 20 to share a story about how his dad inspired him to get “high on life.”
“Few years ago (4 exactly) showed up lil high to Easter brunch… classic,” Patrick captioned in the photo. “My old man asked why… said ‘I dunno makes thing(s) more fun.’ He replied how much more fun do you need to have, life is so good. I’m high on life.”
Schwarzenegger then talked to Patrick about the benefits of not smoking weed, and how doing so can rob you of certain experiences and take away from life.

“Long story short… Haven’t smoked since then,” continued Patrick. “Just HIGH ON LIFE NOW! Happy & healthy & can’t thank god enough to see another day! Happy 4/20 sorry if that was a buzz kill lol.”
Patrick’s father has always been a strong advocate for health and fitness. He has supported numerous anti-drug causes in his lifetime, and while he has admitted to taking steroids when they were legal, he’s been the picture of health at his age.
Schwarzenegger is proud of Patrick for making this decision on his own, and loves watching him workout and seeing him in the movies.
