Armie Hammer’s Estranged Wife, Elizabeth Chambers, Breaks Silence On ‘Cannibal’ Controversy

Elizabeth Chambers, estranged wife of actor Armie Hammer, broke her silence regarding the ongoing controversy with her soon-to-be ex husband.

An Instagram post reported that Timothee Chalamet and Luca Guadagnino are working on an upcoming movie entitled Bones & All. Chalamet and Guadagnino worked with Hammer on the film Call Me By Your Name.

Bones & All is based on the book by the same name written by Camille DeAngelis. The story follows Maren Yearly as she travels across the country looking for her father, whom she’s never met. Yearly is doing this as an attempt to understand why she has the urge to kill and eat people that love her.

The post read, “Armie Hammer’s director and co-star from “Call Me By Your Name” (Luca Guadagnino and Timothee Chalamet) are teaming up for a… cannibal love story movie. (He’s not involved, just FYI).”

Chambers, who has been silent about all of the controversy, commented on the post, “No. Words.”

At the beginning of January, a Twitter user posted screenshots of DMs, claiming they were from Hammer. The user alleged that Hammer had cannibalistic desires. The tweet has since been taken down. Since then, Hammer dropped his role in the film Shotgun Wedding.

“I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,” Hammer said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

His ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze also spoke out about her open, polyamorous relationship with Hammer and their BDSM activities.

Chambers and Hammer got married in 2010 and have two children together. Chambers filed for divorce from her husband in July 2020.
