Armie Hammer Says He’s Booking Movies Again After Assault & Cannibalism Allegations

Following a long line of powerful men in the industry accused of assault, previously out-of-work actor Armie Hammer is reportedly making a comeback in his career.

Despite numerous women’s allegations against him, it appears that Hammer’s cancellation period has ended. He is now set to act in a new film The Frontier Crucible, which will also star William H. Macy and Thomas Jane. This will be Hammer’s first on-screen role since he starred in Death on the Nile in 2022. He is reportedly set to shoot two more films in 2025, with more possible ones in development. He also recently launched a podcast entitled The Armie HammerTime Podcast.

Earlier this week, in an episode of the podcast Your Mom’s House, Hammer told hosts Christina Pazsitzy and Tom Segura that job offers have once again started to flow in for him: “It’s slow, but generally now the conversation when my name comes up with people in the industry is, ‘Man, that guy got f—ed.’”

He continued, “I’m turning down jobs. My dance card is getting pretty full…by the way, that first job that I turned down after four years of this s—, I mean, it was the best feeling I’ve ever had.”

Hammer went on to assert that not a single one of his new offers came from an agent and, rather, were all employers looking to hire him specifically.

In 2021, various women came forward to share explicit text messages Hammer had subjected them to, and in March of that year, Hammer’s ex-girlfriend came forward to say Hammer had raped her in 2017, during which she “thought he was going to kill me.” She also shared texts between the two of them in which Hammer boasted his cannibalistic fantasies, classifying himself as “100 percent a cannibal” and claiming he wanted to cut one of her toes off, “So I always had a piece of you in my possession.”

Another ex-girlfriend alleged that Hammer told her he wanted to “break my rib and barbecue and eat it,” while another accused him of violently branding her with a knife and bruising her. Later, two other women came forward to accuse Hammer of emotional abuse to the degree that they needed to seek help for PTSD.

In response to the allegations, Hammer protested that all relationships he had were consensual sadomasochistic arrangements – although he did confirm that he was emotionally abuse toward women. In 2023, the Los Angeles County district attorney declined to indict Hammer on the basis of insufficient evidence.

Hammer explained on Your Mom’s House, “I think I so did not relate to the image of me that was out there in the public…I feel like an alien walking around most of the time…I don’t feel like a human. I feel like a creature. So if I’m going to be a creature, I might as well be king of the creatures.”
