Winter, who stars on ABC’s Modern Family, first sparked rumors of a split last week. “Time to move forward, time to move on…” she captioned a Abraham Maslow quote card. The quote reads: “In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.”

A few days later, Winter captioned an image of a heart monitor, “#mood.”

“Start of a new week, start of a new chapter #dancinglikebeyoncemood,” Winter captioned a meme of Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies” music video a day later.

Winter officially confirmed her single status Monday. “Love doesn’t die, it simply evolves,” she captioned a picture of herself in a black dress. “We grow up, we realize what we truly want. I’m excited for this new chapter in my love life- love is all around.. Family, friends, pizza… The old and the new.”

Winter, 17, and Gaudette, 18, had been dating for two years.
