Soul music star Aretha Franklin is being held in a Detroit hospital with a severe undisclosed illness, it was reported Monday morning.

Local news anchor Evrod Cassimy said 76-year-old Franklin — often nicknamed the “Queen of Soul — is “gravely ill” and that she is being supported by her family.

Franklin last performed at the Elton John AIDS Foundation in New York City in November 2017, three months after her final public show in Philadelphia. She canceled two concerts in March that were supposed to be held in New Jersey. Franklin’s health issues have been publicly known since 2010.
