Warner Bros. revealed the release date for the Aquaman movie today.

Deadline reported that the studio delayed Aquaman’s debut after the original plan for a July 2018 release. Jason Momoa will star in the title role.
“How I identify with that is kind of being…a bit of an outcast,” Momoa told Comic Book. He shared that both he and the character have felt isolated at times.
The working title is of the upcoming DC action film is Ahab, a reference to Herman Melville’s classic novel Moby Dick.
Director James Wan will head the project, with Willem Defoe set to play Vulko. Amber Heard will also appear in the film as Mera.
“I kind of don’t want to give too much away but know this. The spirit that I’m going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story,” Wan told Collider. He called the film “a quest story in the spirit of Raiders Of The Lost Ark meets Romancing The Stone.”
