Apple CEO Tim Cook Granted Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

Beginning with bizarre tagged tweets and escalating to “threatening and highly disturbing” emails and two trespassing attempts between 2020 and 2022, Tim Cook has won a temporary restraining order against a Virginia woman who allegedly stalked him and carried out these unsettling actions.

While she hasn’t been charged with a crime, the woman, just identified as a 45-year-old from Virginia has been forbidden from contacting the Apple CEO, or any Apple employees, by electronic means or otherwise, prohibited from possessing a gun or ammunition, and banned from Apple properties.

In its application for the restraining order filed last week, Apple attorneys laid out a long list of disturbing behavior that Cook has been putting up with since the woman first reached out to him in November 2020 claiming to be the mother of his twin children, which she also reportedly tweeted while using the last name “Cook” in her username.

She allegedly has sent Cook over 200 emails, which began to display “a significant escalation of tone,” with some apparently detailing sexual desire for Cook, while others threatened him with photos of guns and ammunition.

“My new gun. Will never return it at this time before I shoot,” she reportedly wrote in one email alongside a photo of a gun. “I’m faster than bullets,” she also added.

The woman even showed up twice at his residence, once in September and October according to Cook’s personal driver and security guard. The restraining order application also claimed that she was still in the Palo Alto area as of last week and possibly armed.

The temporary restraining order will remain in effect until March 29, 2022. The woman is scheduled for a hearing in Santa Clara County Superior Court at 9 a.m. that same day.
