Weiner created an online alter-ego called “Carlos Danger” as part of his sexual exploits. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison in September 2017, after a year-long FBI investigation. Weiner was also forced to forfeit his iPhone and pay a $10,000 fine as part of this case, which also resulted in him registering as a sex offender. He had been serving in Congress since 1999.
