Anne Heche In ‘Critical Condition’ In ICU After Severe Car Crash

Actress Anne Heche is currently hospitalized after she crashed her car into a Los Angeles residence and was engulfed by flames on Friday.

“Anne is in the ICU, she’s lucky to be alive. She has severe burns and has a long recovery ahead. Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash,” a source close to Heche told CNN on Saturday.

Heche’s car was driving at a high speed when it ran off the road and crashed into the home, Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee said on Friday.

She was taken to the hospital in critical condition. It took 59 firefighters over an hour to “access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure,” the LAFD said.

No other injuries were reported.
