The first trailer for the latest film adaptation of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, by director Tom Hooper, who won an Oscar in 2011 for The King's Speech, has made its way to the Internet, and Anne Hathaway sings her heart out as the tragic Fantine in her best rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream."

While Hathaway may not live up to Susan Boyle and her now-famous rendition of "I Dreamed A Dream" on Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent, she holds her own in the trailer to the new Les Miserables, which also stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Javert, and Amanda Seyfried as Cosette.

The last version of Les Miserables to hit the big screen was in 1998, when Liam Neeson played Valjean opposite Geoffrey Rush's Javert and Uma Thurman's Fantine. Thurman did not sing in the role.
