An American Airlines passenger was tossed from his flight at LaGuardia on Tuesday after a meltdown from being wished a Merry Christmas by airline staff.
The unidentified man was waiting to board American Airlines Flight 1140 to Dallas when a gate agent began welcoming with a “Merry Christmas” greeting while checking boarding passes.
The angry passenger tersely grunted at the woman, “You shouldn’t say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas.”
She replied, “Well, what should I say then?”
“Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!'” he yelled, brushing past her.
Once on the plane, he was greeted by a flight attendant who also wished him a “Merry Christmas.” This enraged him.
“Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!'” the man screamed before lecturing the attendants and the pilot about their lack of political correctness. Staff attempted to calm him down but he refused. He was soon led off the plane to a round of applause from passengers.
