Angelina Jolie Won't Be Celebrating Thanksgiving

What could be nicer than sitting down with your entire family, eating turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce as you give thanks for the good things that have come your way this year? Apparently, anything, if you're Angelina Jolie.

The actress and activist will not celebrate Thanksgiving due to her moral misgivings about the origins of the holiday. "Angelina Jolie hates this holiday and wants no part in rewriting history like so many other Americans," an insider told PopEater. "To celebrate what the white settlers did to the native Indians, the domination of one culture over another, just isn't her style. She definitely doesn't want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder."

Jolie, who has been in Europe filming her directorial debut, should probably tell her husband, Brad Pitt. "We'll whip up a turkey somewhere," he recently told Extra. But Jolie has other plans. "Angelina gets so grossed out by Thanksgiving that she has made sure her family will not be in America this year on Thursday," the insider said. –AMY LEE
