Angelina Jolie Uninjured After Car Crash

Angelina Jolie was in a car accident last night in Los Angeles, but is doing fine now. Jolie was on her way home from a screening of her latest directorial effort Unbroken, when the vehicle skidding out of control off an oil slick and slammed into a median. Those on the scene noted that one of Jolie’s people was driving, and that the SUV had taken off very quickly. Not long after the car slipped on a patch of wet pavement and crashed with enough force of speed that the front two tires exploded from impacting the curb.

“The car slammed into the curb at a significant speed. Angelina must have wondered if they hit another car. It was pretty bad — the tire exploded, and it’s amazing nothing worse happened to the car. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has whiplash,” an eyewitness told FOX News.

Jolie was riding in the backseat and was apparent unharmed. The paparazzi quickly ran over to take pictures and attempt to get a statement, though Jolie did not respond to them. Jolie’s camp felt the paps were harassing the actress and quickly called the police. By the time LA county deputies arrived, however, Jolie had ducked away in another vehicle. While Jolie and her people have been quiet about this incident, they have confirmed that she was no hurt in the accident.

Unbroken opens wide on Christmas Day. It stars Jack O’Connell and is a biopic about the life of war hero Louis Zamperini who passed away earlier this year at 97.
