Angelina Jolie revealed that her eldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, has a girlfriend while walking the Maleficent red carpet on Wednesday, May 28.

Jolie, who adopted Maddox 12 years ago, stars in the new live-action Disney film as the evil Maleficent and she walked down the blue carpet with her fiancé Brad Pitt and five of their six children, including Maddox.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Jolie dished on her son’s love life, surprising Nancy O’Dell by saying that her 12-year-old already has a girlfriend.

“He’s dating, he’s got a girlfriend,” Jolie said, smiling.

When O’Dell pressed for details, Jolie confessed that both she and Pitt approved of the lady that has captured Maddox’s heart.

“She’s great. I won’t embarrass him. She’s lovely. She lives in England. She’s very cool,” Jolie revealed.

While his girlfriend might live across the pond, Maddox seems committed to his long-distance relationship.

“We go there as often as possible. It’s really, really sweet. She’s a great lady, so I’m lucky. So far, we’re doing good,” Jolie said, giving her stamp of approval.

Those hoping for more details are out of luck. Jolie didn’t answer any more questions on her son’s love life, and Maddox only posed for photos on the red carpet.

Maleficent is currently out in theaters.
