Angelina Jolie is returning as the Sleeping Beauty villain, and antihero, in the sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

The latest trailer, that was released Monday, shows Prince Phillip (Harris Dickinson) asking for Aurora’s (Elle Fanning) hand in marriage. This does not make Maleficent happy and she even tells Aurora in the trailer that she doesn’t know love.

As seen in the first film, the dark fairy’s heart was broken by her best friend and lover, Stefan, after he betrayed her by cutting off her wings for the king. Stefan gained the dying King’s trust and eventually became king himself.

Despite not liking the idea of Aurora being engaged, Maleficent does her best to get along with Aurora’s soon-to-be mother-in-law, Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer). However, the Queen goes on to say that Aurora will “finally get the love of a real mother,” making Maleficent even angrier.

The trailer then continues to show little clips of the dark fairy’s magical outburst, eventually leading to an Endgame-like scene with fairies battling the world of men.

The end of the trailer then shows a shocking reveal of a new fairy character, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, who resembles Maleficent.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil premieres on October 18.
