Andy Cohen Reveals He’s Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Andy Cohen, host of Watch What Happens Live, revealed in an Instagram post on Saturday that he tested positive for COVID-19.

The television host posted a serious looking selfie with a caption confirming his diagnoses.

“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” he wrote.

Cohen also confirmed that the plans for the socially distant version of his Bravo show, Watch What Happens Live From Home, have been scraped for now.

“As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better,” he said. His show, which he would of hosted in his New York City apartment, was set to start March 22.  WWHL was going to follow the precedent many late night shows have set, with hosts video chatting with guests from their homes.

Many celebrities commented on the post with their get well soon messages.

“Rest up. Love you with all my heart. ♥️♥️,” wrote John Mayer.

“Honey sending so much love for a speedy recovery love you,” wrote comedienne Sandra Bernhard.

“I love you Andy my Gemini ♥️♥️♥️🙏🏾,” wrote Naomi Campbell.

Cohen ended his post saying, “I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.”

Cohen is one of several celebrities to have tested positive for the coronavirus in recent days. Tom Hanks, Idris ElbaOlga Kurylenko, Kristofer Hivju, and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau have all tested positive since the outbreak began.

The coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 353,100 people worldwide, and 15,454 have died, as of Monday afternoon.
