Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray, who met and got engaged on last season of The Bachelorette, have called it quits.
Dorfman and Murray announced their split Thursday in a joint statement. “After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it’s best for both of us to go our separate ways,” the statement read, according to People. “We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what’s best for both of us individually.”
The statement went on, “We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best.”
The news of the split came just days after Dorfman and Murray appeared on the red carpet together for the premiere of The Bachelor‘s 19th season. When asked about their wedding plans, Murray said that they’d been too busy to put much thought into them.
“Honestly we haven’t even taken a breath in 2014… so once we take a breath we’ll figure out what we want,” he explained. “The traveling has been really good. It’s been a lot of fun; we just haven’t settled down yet.”
Dorfman, 27, and Murray, 30, have been engaged since May when the finale of The Bachelorette was filmed. “It has taken a lot of thought for me to get here and I know that that feeling from the very first time I saw you,” Dorfman told Murray on the finale, which aired in July. “I know that feeling, right now, is love!”
