Amy Schumer livened things up on the Time 100 red carpet when she pranked honoree Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West by pretending to face-plant right in front of them.

Schumer, who, like West, was also among those listed in the magazine’s annual 100 Most Influential list, came up with the prank on the fly as she saw them on the red carpet. “I saw them, and I asked my publicist, ‘Can I dive in front of them and act like I fell?’ And she said, ‘I can’t stop you,’” Schumer later told People.

Photos of Kimye walking down the red carpet with a startled-looking Schumer at their feet have since gone viral. In the photos, Kardashian and West look straight ahead, as if they hadn’t seen Schumer’s fall. Though the famous duo has yet to comment, Schumer revealed that Kardashian was actually very concerned when she saw her fall. “Kim was worried for me, and I think Kanye was just, like, scared that I was doing something…They were really sweet. Kim was really funny. She goes, ‘Oh my god, I was like, does this girl need help?’” Schumer said, adding that Kardashian loved the joke.

Schumer and Kardashian were later photographed together enjoying the gala. West pulled double duty as an honoree and a performer at the event, while the famous couple also rubbed elbows with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill and Mia Farrow and Ronan Farrow.
