Amy Schumer Jokes About John Krasinski & Emily Blunt’s Marriage Being ‘Pretend’

Amy Schumer said John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are married for publicity on an Instagram post she shared on Sunday.

Schumer shared the post, which is no longer available, on May 30. The image was from the new movie A Quiet Place Part II. She encouraged her followers to watch the movie and joked about Krasinski and Blunt’s relationship.

“I loved every second of @aquietplacemovie even better than the first one which blew me away,” she wrote. She expressed how excited she felt to be in a movie theater and said that for a long time, she has thought that “Emily and John have a pretend marriage for publicity.”

Krasinski commented on the post. “Thank you Amy!… for blowing up our whole marriage spot,” he wrote jokingly.

The couple got married in July 2010 and had two daughters, Hazel, 7, and Violet, 4. During an interview with the Sunday Times, Blunt said that she does not want her daughters to know that she and Krasinski are famous.

“I don’t want my kids to feel any more important or special or that there’s a glare on them any more than other kids,” she said. “If they can remain oblivious for the longest time, I’d be thrilled.”
